SECURITY VETTING
OUR HISTORY
Mitchell Personnel Solutions (MPS) has been a trusted security vetting provider for the Australian Government since 2006. Since 2010, they are one of the largest Prime External Security Vetting Services (ESVS) Panel providers for the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).
MPS is highly regarded by the Australian Government due to their ability to ensure that only individuals with the highest levels of integrity, loyalty and reliability are entrusted with Australia’s nationally sensitive information. We are trusted by the Commonwealth to deliver services to the highest standards required to protect our nation’s most sensitive information.
Our track record of delivering services in line with political and legislative needs is strong. MPS understands how to work with stakeholders from all levels of Government to develop comprehensive security vetting processes that not only meet regulatory requirements but also the specific requirements of each entity. Since 2006, we have worked with over 20 different Government Departments and Agencies, each with their own specific requirements and operating environments.
OUR CAPABILITIES
MPS is the most experienced security vetting agency in Australia. Over the past 10 years MPS has assessed over 60,000 security clearances for AGSVA. MPS actively engage with industry and governmental bodies to ensure that we have an up-to-date understanding of security vetting best practices and the latest assessment of national security priorities.
In delivering his 2023 Annual Threat Assessment, ASIO’s Director-General, Mike Burgess, assessed that espionage, foreign interference and insider threat are now Australia’s principal security concerns. MPS helps mitigate these concerns by identifying potential risks, vulnerabilities, and conflicts of interest of Government employees and contractors that may compromise national security or the efficient functioning of government operations.
To support the Commonwealth with the most up to date security risk information MPS is a member of the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, including access to their Centre of Excellence to fight insider threats and espionage. MPS is also a member of the Australian Government’s Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN), allowing us to collaborate to identify and manage risks to critical infrastructure, address security gaps within sectors, implement mitigation strategies and inform future policy and programs.
