A complete personal, employment, educational and reference background check designed around MPS’s background and experience working in the security vetting industry. Our Assessing Officers are qualified with industry standard qualifications and operate in accordance with AS 4811-2006 Employment Screening Standards. MPS offer experience in assessing a person against suitability indicators which could harm your business and confirmation of identity.

The Information Sessions are conducted by MPS Assessors and Training with special guest presenters as required. Each month a subject is introduced and Assessing Officers are able to listen to real life case studies and research information in relation to the various ‘Indicators’.
Session topics include (among others) ‘Gambling’, ‘Importance of personal IT security’ and ‘Mitigation preparation and presentation’. The sessions are insightful and provide expert information from both the Assessor’s perspective and real life case studies relating to challenges Assessing Officers face in assessng a person’s suitability.

August 2023 – In exciting news, MPS Training and Development Officer Trish Keeley and Vetting QA Leader Lou Castro have been announced as finalists in the 2023 Women in Security Awards in the Best Security Mentor Category. Both Trish and Lou have shown the qualities of an excellent mentor in their many years with MPS and are more than deserving of this high honour.
The Women in Security Awards are a once a year celebration designed to recognise and raise the profile of the Australian IT Security, Cyber, and Protective Security industry to inspire young women and men to consider a career in this sector.
MPS is exceptionally proud to have these two key members of the team recognised for their efforts and skill in mentoring our Security Vetting staff and it is through their efforts that MPS is recognised to have such a high standard of vetting work.
On February 14, 2006, Mitchell Personnel Solutions now referred to as MPS was created by two business partners Tracey Mitchell and Karen Bradley. Starting in the security vetting industry they had their first client within a day which doubled by the end of the first week. This budding success forced them to move out of their humble smaller office into a larger space to accommodate the increase within the first three months. There has been no stopping them since. MPS Has been at the forefront of Security Vetting and has become a trusted partner with the Australian Government as a leading panel member supporting the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency
