BENEFITS
Benefits and perks
MPS’ greatest strength is its people. With a workplace focused on wellbeing we have maintained a high retention rate by building a diverse team of skilled employees and offering many staff incentives.
Some staff benefits include flexibility around working preferences, being family friendly, a diversity of staff profiles and support for staff going through difficult times due to illness or external hardships, wellbeing bite sized sessions, and staff recognition and development.
MPS takes a special interest in the welfare of team members, ensuring an inclusive environment that builds and sustains a high performing team. Our mission is not all about how to succeed in business, but how to build a winning team of inspired employees.
We do this through bringing collaboration, fun culture and togetherness into the workplace. MPS’s inclusive policies and practices enable staff, at every level, to use and develop their skills, knowledge and experience and share that with others.
Careers with MPS
Flexible working and flex-time
Our workplace let’s you be you and we encourage flexibility. We like results and we are not so hung up on the hours. If work is finished early, go ahead and spend the rest of the time at the beach.
MPS promotes a healthy workplace and a work-life-balance approach. Should a particular circumstance require additional hours, flex-time for salaried employees may apply.
Wellbeing sessions and EAP
MPS has partnered with Kate Diggle Relational Consulting to provide free counselling services for employees. Employees may access up to 5 counselling sessions per year on work or non-work related matters.
Each month our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider delivers remote wellbeing sessions that employees may choose to attend. These sessions may be recorded from time to time and can be accessed by MPS employees on the MPS YouTube channel.
Staff recognition and development
Formal and informal recognition and rewards for staff, along with opportunities for training is key to staff retention and capability development across our teams. Leveraging off our MPS staff performance discussions we are not only able to support our staff’s growth but are able to identify any skill gaps that require development.
MPS has implemented a Leadership and Development Program to assist with developing and enhancing leadership skills across our business. This includes a coaching and mentoring program delivered by an experienced provider.
Paid parental leave
Birth mothers who have been employed for more than 12 months may be entitled to a supplemental payment to their Services Australia Parental Leave Pay so the total payment for 26 weeks is equal to their ordinary fortnightly wage. This supplemental amount may be taken at half pay to spread the payment over 52 weeks.
Employees who have been employed for more than 12 months may choose to purchase a period of paid Paternity Leave by redirecting up to 6 hours per fortnight of their salary to accrue Paternity Leave.
Relocation assistance
MPS offers relocation assistance for new employees moving from interstate to Canberra to work in our dedicated office. Employees may be approved for a reimbursement of up to $2,000 to assist with moving expenses.
